It is a major tennis tournament that held over two weeks between late May and early June in Paris (France) at the Stade Roland Garros. It is the premier clay-court tournament in the world because of the slow-playing surface and the five-set men’s singles matches without a tiebreak in the final set. The event is widely considered to be the most physically demanding tennis tournament in the world. It was named after the French aviator Roland Garros. It is the second of the four annual Grand Slam tournaments. Roland Garros is the only Grand Slam held on clay and ends the spring clay court season.
Please note that Steffi Graf is an only tennis player to achieve a career Golden Slam to date. He wins all four Grand Slam tournaments and the Olympic Gold Medal during their career. He has accomplished this in a single year. He won the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, the Olympic Singles Gold Medal, and the US Open in the year 1988.
