Indian Premier League (IPL):
The Indian Premier League, which is briefly known as the IPL, is an annual domestic Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This tournament is organized by the IPL Governing Council. This domestic Twenty-20 cricket competition is organized every year in the month of April-May.

History of Indian Premier League (IPL):
IPL started in 2008. The first match of the competition was played on 18th April and the last match was played on 1st June and so far 11 seasons have been successfully organized in this league. The first IPL title held in the year 2008 was won by Rajasthan Royals team. IPL is the most watched Twenty-20 tournament in the world. Currently 8 teams are participating in the IPL. In these teams, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are the only two teams that have won the competition three times, while Chennai Super Kings is the only team that has reached the IPL final seven times. Apart from this, only 11 teams have won 11 IPL tournaments held so far. Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab have not been able to win a single IPL title so far.
Indian player Suresh Raina is the highest run scorer in the history of the IPL tournament, he has made 4985 runs in 176 matches played for the 11th season of the tournament.
